Sunday Morning Bible Studies

Pastor Tutwiler’s Study- will not meet this morning.

Today’s Light Group- meets in the church library and discusses daily Bible readings from the past week.

Weekly Studies in the Conference Room

Tuesday Women- will resume in August.

Wednesday Women- revised schedule. The remaining two sessions will be held on August 4^th & 11 at 10:00 am.   Childcare   is available.

Thursday Men- meets 9:30-11 for coffee, donuts, discussion and time in God’s word.

Concordia Christian Academy

OSL Library

Summer is a great time to visit our library, located across from the church office, and select some books to read while you’re on vacation.  Some new titles have been added to our collection of fine Christian fiction and non-fiction books.  Look for these by the following shelf numbers:  Five of the “Joshua” series by Joseph Girzone, F gir; “Between Sundays” by Karen Kingsbury, F kin; “The List” by Robert  Whitlow, F whi’ “The Shepherd of the Hills”, a classic by Harold Bell Wright, F wri; “Great Days with the Great Lives”, a devotional by Charles Swindoll, 221.9; “The Face”, the farce of evolution by Hank Hanegraaff, 231.7; “Cure for the Common Life” by Max Lucado, 248.4; and “Understanding Mormonism” by Drew Williams, 289.3.  Please sign your name on the book card and place it in the container under the window.

July 25^th Blood Bank

Thanks to everyone that donated blood last Sunday.  Your donations will help save up to 33 lives.  Another drive is scheduled in January.

CASA McKinney

The Children’s Advocacy Center in McKinney is in need of clean, like new, gently used or new children’s clothing. Clothes for boys and girls of all sizes are needed for these children. A container for donations is available by the mailboxes, across from the church office. Contact Carla Walters for additional info.

Connections & Membership

If you are interested in learning more about what we teach, believe and confess as a church we encourage you to join our pastors for the next Connections Class on August 21 and 28 from 8:30am – 11:00am. Over these two Saturday mornings Pastor Tutwiler and Pastor Nathan will share our foundational beliefs and teachings as a congregation. Connections is a great opportunity to get to know other people new to the community of Our Savior and the Pastors of our church. This class is for those who are interested in membership here or would just like to find out more about our church. Family Ministry

Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers

Childcare is available for all children ages 0-5 (pre-K) in the nursery by the sanctuary all Sunday morning. A cry room is available during both services for parents with infants and young children.  A private nursing station is available in the women’s restroom (accessible through the nursery).

Elementary Children, Families, & Friends

Join us on August 1, 8, &15 as we close out this summer with Bible Stories, singing, games, and activities from 9:45-10:45 in the Woodlands Room for all students grades K-5^th. And get ready to join us starting August 22^nd for our all new Kidtricity program.

Middle School Bible Study

Meets Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45 in the upper level of the school building with Mrs. Fasolino.

Confirmation Begins August 29^th

We are beginning to gear up for another great year of confirmation here at Our Savior for Middle Schoolers. Letters were mailed this week to all 6^th,7^th & 8^th graders inviting them to the confirmation orientation meeting for all parents and youth on August 29^th at 5pm. This meeting is for both new students and returning students. If you did not receive a letter this past week and you have a youth in this age range please let Pastor Nathan know by calling the office or emailing him at Nathan.wendorf@oslmckinney.org

We have some great opportunities to serve our community this summer and have fun while we do it together. High School Sunday Evening
