Children’s Family Ministry

Kidtricity

Children are a gift from the Lord, and Our Savior’s Family Ministry is blessed to partner with parents in ministering to their children. It is our goal to equip and provide resources for parents to be the primary spiritual leaders of their children. On Sunday mornings, we have several opportunities for children of all ages and their parents to grow in faith and Biblical understanding.

Ministry for Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
Our goal is to provide caring Christian environments and to support families in teaching children that “God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever”. Recognizing that ministry to young children includes supporting parents, a variety of family support programs are offered throughout the year including a mother’s support group, a Cradle Roll parent information mailing program, Sunday School resource materials e-mailed directly to parents, and a weekly parent Bible Study. Here’s what’s happening on Sunday mornings:

For the safety and care of all the children we request that all children complete a registration form. The form is available Sunday morning or to save time you can download and print off the form ahead of time and print it with you on Sunday. Click here to download it: Kidtricity & Children’s Ministry Registration Form

Ministry for Families with Elementary Children
Our goal is to support parents in helping children to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior and to help their children become a part of the body of Christ in a community of their peers and with loving adults. Sunday School will kick off for the fall on August 22, 2010 with a great big celebration! Then join us each week for Kidtricity at 9:45am in the day school building as each week we get plugged into God’s Word and Connected with a great group of friends.

“Power Up Kids Worship”
During the 11:00am service, kindergarten through 3rd grade students are invited to participate in a short children’s worship program reinforcing the Bible lesson of the day. Kids wishing to participate will be dismissed as a group prior to the sermon and will return as a group prior to the end of the service.

Sunday morning Parenting Class

Join us this Sunday at 9:45am in School Library (Room B109) for fellowship, discussion, and growth in our parenting. If you’ve been a parent for more than 5 minutes, you know it’s not all about you. And as much as your 8 year old begs to differ, it’s not all about them either. It’s about the family, it’s about we. This strategy can apply to big decisions families make, but more importantly it applies to the daily challenges such as bedtime power struggles, sibling rivalries, and tantrums.

 Cub Scouts

All 1st-5th grade boys interested in joining Cub Scouts are welcome! For more informationabout Cub Scouts go to www.cubscouts.org

Join Pastor Nathan for a new study geared towards parents with children still at home called Parenting Families from Me to We. If you’ve been a parent for more than 5 minutes, you know it’s not all about you. And as much as your 8 year old begs to differ, it’s not all about them either. It’s about the family, it’s about we. Through this study we will take a fresh approach challenging you to shift from thinking me or “How am I going to fix this?” to WE, “How can we work this out as a family?” This strategy can apply to big decisions families make, but more importantly it applies to the daily challenges such as bedtime power struggles, sibling rivalries, and tantrums. Join us this Sunday Sept 5th at 9:45 in school library (Room B109) for fellowship, discussion, and growth in our parenting. For more info contact Pastor Nathan.
